Situated within the Port Aransas Community Park, the field serves as a hub for various recreational activities, including baseball and softball.
The field is named in honor of Jerry McDonald, a Port Aransas native who was the only local resident to lose his life during the Vietnam War.
In the past, there were discussions about the City of Port Aransas purchasing Jerry McDonald Field from the Community Presbyterian Church to preserve its use as a community sports venue.

Facility Rental & Event Reservation Cancellation Policy
A 50% deposit is required at the time of reservation to secure the requested date and facility. The remaining balance is due in full prior to the start of the event.
Cancellations made due to verified illness or death may be eligible for a full refund upon submission of appropriate documentation. No other reasons for cancellation will be considered for a refund. All other cancellations will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
By confirming a reservation, the renter acknowledges and agrees to abide by the terms of this cancellation policy.
