Programs
With more than 500 youth expected to attend, we’re looking forward to a fun-filled evening and need your help creating a memorable night for our community!
Note:
Thank you for signing up to participate in our annual Trunk or Treat event at Roberts Point Park (301 J C Barr Blvd, Port Aransas, TX 78373) on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. We are excited to have you join us for this fun and festive community celebration! This letter serves as confirmation of your participation and provides important event details to help you prepare.
Arrival & Set-Up
Participants may begin arriving at 4:00 p.m. Our parking lot team will be onsite to direct you to your designated setup area near the Chili Field. Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Saving spaces is not permitted, so if you would like to park near another group, please arrive together.
All trunks and booths must be fully decorated, set up, and ready for attendees by 5:30 p.m.
Decorating Guidelines
Participants are encouraged to decorate their trunks or booths in a fun, creative, and family-friendly style. Please avoid decorations that are overly scary, graphic, or frightening for younger children.
Theme ideas may include classic Halloween, sports, comic characters, favorite movies, decades, or imaginative scenes. Decorations can be simple or elaborate—bring your creativity and Halloween spirit!
Please note that electricity will not be available. If you plan to use lights or electrical decorations, they must be battery-powered. Participants are responsible for providing all supplies and decorations. Parks and Recreation will provide only the designated event space.
Activities & Participation Requirements
Booth participants are required to provide an interactive activity or game for attendees to enjoy. Prizes are optional, but engaging activities are encouraged.
Trunk participants are asked to provide candy or small non-candy treats (such as bubbles, pencils, or small toys) for children. All treats must be store-bought and individually wrapped.
We are expecting approximately 500 children, so please plan accordingly. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, wear a fun costume, interact with families, and most importantly—have fun!
Costume & Contest Details
Costumes are encouraged for all participants! To help maintain a safe environment, we kindly ask that adults refrain from wearing masks so all attendees and volunteers remain easily identifiable.
At 6:15 p.m., Parks and Recreation staff will judge the best-decorated trunks and booths. Winners will be announced during the event.
Closing & Candy Donation
For safety reasons, all vehicles must remain parked until 8:15 p.m. Please do not begin breaking down or leaving before that time.
If you have leftover individually wrapped candy you would like to donate to the Channel Vista Trick-or-Treat event, please drop it off at the Information Booth before leaving.
Thank you again for helping us create a safe, fun, and memorable Halloween experience for the Port Aransas community. We truly appreciate your participation and look forward to celebrating with you!
